On the rocks alert: Rob and Kristen split!
Publication: Star magazineDate: 13 June 2011
Star magazine reports that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are no longer a couple. They say that cheating has torn them apart.
GossipCop.com calls bullshit on them, but this is nothing to sue over.
On the other hand, Angelina Jolie on heroin probably is something Star will get sued for, since they already lost cash calling Katie Holmes a pill popper.

Bundle of Joy Alert?: Sandra adopting again.
Publication: Star magazineDate: 30 May 2011
Star is going with the story that Sandra Bullock is adopting again and will have a second child in the house by the end of summer. Bullock's reps deny it. The best Star can do is say Sandy was really good at keeping it secret last time, but I don't recall her having to deny a story in the press.

Pre-emptive scoop of the week! Star apologizes to Katie Holmes!
Publication: Star magazineDate: 9 May 2011
Fresh trash on Wednesdays?!? I don't do this very often, especially when I haven't seen any other covers, but the fact that Star is apologizing to Katie Holmes and giving some undisclosed amount of money to her favorite charity is a big damn deal.
The cover story in question is from January of this year. In point of fact, these magazines lie a lot, but when you say a movie star is a drug addict, it can be shown to inflict financial harm, so Katie called the lawyers. A story that says she's pregnant, a lie that has been told about her several times in the past year and a half, is just as untrue but not equally damaging.
I hope more celebrities get their lawyers after these grease weasels.
