Blanks is famous for his Alter-ego photo spreads.  Derek, did you invent that?  Email me, let me know... WTF??? Alicia Keys was spotted strolling around the NYC streets in SOHO with her son on yesterday.  And let's just say, there is still a way to go to get back in shape from child birth.

WTF Moment: Lil Kim

There was buzz at one time that Kimmy Blanco was poised to join RocNation.  That never panned out.  Then recently there was talk about Kimmy joining G-Unit, but 50-cent has shot those rumors down.  So where is Kimmy going? Not sure, but she recently tweeted that she was going to release a full album and the 1st single was coming really soon. Hmmmm..... well we shall see how this pans out.  We all know Kim was the QUEEN of HIPHOP....in her season.  But times have changed. She is really going to have to come HARD to reclaim her 'throne'.  So hopefully, we will see vintage KIM re-emerge like a phoenix.

There is always a but..... Kim just did a recent photoshoot, and i must say she does look great in the shots.  But how did we got from:

WTF Moment: Lil' Wayne & DJ Khaled #betawards edition

 Last night's BET AWARDS was filled with many WTF moments, but this one stood out to me.  CAN SOMEONE PLEASE CAPTION THIS FOR ME?

I was like, wow, MONSTERS! The song and performance was on point!  One of my favorite songs of the summer so far.  But this image just scares me just a bit.  It looks like a BIG OWL trying to feed a little hatchling fresh out the egg some food it had regurgitated in it's mouth for its young!  That was some vivid imagery i just came up with right!?  Maybe it's too much drugs on my part.  And when I say drugs, I mean pharmaceutical, OTC drugs, not the other stuff.  I am sure you guys know how annoying it is to have a cold in the summertime.  It's the worse!!!!!  So you take any and everything you have left from the winter to get over it.  So now I am 'high' so to speak, so whatever else comes out of my head, I am going to simply blame it on the Dayquil.

WTF Moment: Vybz Kartel /New Music: 'Go Go Wine'

I just did a post about skin color bias in African American women.  In the post, these brave women spoke about how their dark skin was a constant source of ridicule and shame by people in society.  There was even a child who was asked to look at two pictures, one of a light-skinned child and one of a dark-skinned child.  That same little girl was asked of the two which was considered 'ugly' and the child pointed at the picture of the dark-skinned child. Society has made us think that light is right and dark is wrong.  Case in point, controversial Jamaican rapper Vybz Kartel must subscribe to this same mantra.  Kartel, who was once a dark-skinned male has taken to bleaching his skin to become lighter.  Apparently, Kartel must have not been too happy with his appearance to go to such lengths to become lighter.


WTF?  What magical stuff is he using to get THAT LIGHT?

  Just recently, Rolling Stone Magazine interviewed Vybz Kartel and the question came up about his skin bleaching.  This is what he had to say:
Speaking of, are you tired of being asked about your appearance – about skin bleaching, especially?


It's played out – come with something different, man.
OK, how's this: You've said that a black man bleaching his skin is no different from women getting weaves and hair extensions. Do you still think so?

Andrew Breitbart showed a couple of radio DJs a picture of what is likely Anthony Weiner's penis, then they leaked it on Twitter.   HERE IT GOES!

WTF Moment: Soulja Boy-'My Playa'

Not sure what to say about this?  Does he even hear the track playing?

I respect the fact that as a teen, he was able to break into the hip-hop game.  But since his break-out 1st single, Soulja Boy has made a few missteps with his career.  And this video offers a few examples.  It is not a good look for an artist, particularly of his age, to be caught on camera smoking, what it appears to be is marijuana.  Secondly, the music is just not good.  The rap-style seems sloppy, and the profanity used is not that of an artist his age.  The people that guide him should tell him that from a public relations p.o.v. this video is not a good look for him.  I've said too much.  He continues to make a lucrative career out of what he's doing, so, i guess all is fair in love & war, right?  You either Love or Hate this kid.  He's still in the game so it appears there are far more 'lovers' of Soulja Boy than there are 'Haters'.

WTF Moment: Ciara

I used to really dig Ciara back when she had that 'Promise' swag, but now, not so much.  I mean she's still cool, but with the bad music as of late and her constant acts to garner attention makes her look a bit pathetic.  CIARA STANS you can attack NOW...  I don't care. LOL.  Just stating the obvious.  So here we find CiCi back in the WTF spotlight again.


A little TOO much time in the gym?  She looks good, but something is a bit off, wouldn't you say?  Is this the Blue Carpet for 'Rupaul's Drag Race'.  CiCi looks like she could benchpress more than Amar'e Stoudemire. LOL.

Slow down CiCI, you killin 'em! LOL.  Let's not get like this..... LOL. I'm just saying.

WTF Moment: Fantasia....again

We over love Fantasia, but I am not too sure on this one. WTF? Is she channeling Remy Ma  / Nicki Minaj with this two-toned do?  The album is doing well, the Vh1 reality show has great ratings, you kicked Teeny out, so we know you got some extra cashflow.  Why does this do look like 'Sharita Alize' Jenkins' from 'round the way hooked your hair up in her kitchen?  This 'quick weave' in conception may have been a good idea on paper, but the execution appears to be lacking just a bit.  I mean is that part even straight?   Do we see the 'Tracks' of your 'tears'.  Comb that out and go back to this:

WTF Moment: "Soulja boi & Diamond sittin' in a tree......??"

Well, I was not going to say anything about this 'news', because I tag that this as ATL NEWS, meaning, not too many people checking for this... just local.  But since everybody, and when I say everybody, I mean ATL media has been talking about it, I am going to just give it a little bit of attention.  Anyone from or affiliated with Atlanta knows that rapper Lil' Scrappy and former 'Crime Mob' femcee, Diamond have been an 'item' on and off for years.  At one point I do believe they were even engaged.

Okay, fast forward to 2011, it appears that the two or on the outs again.  SO recently at any ATL event. Diamond & Soulja Boi were seen canoodling.  The two looked like quite taken with each other.

So apparently, Diamond has moved on.  But that's just the tip of the iceberg.

 Lil' Scrappy's mom obviously  didn't take the break-up too well and took to the radio to voice her level of discontent:

"Okay, the b***h done got breast implants and booty shots, the b***h ain’t real first of all. Secondly, Soulja boy is gonna come behind him anyway.

So at the end of the day Scrappy is chilling, he’s fine, he’s the Prince of the South and he got it good. He’s living good and he ain’t thinking about that b***h…dirty low down b***h.

She [Diamond] lied like a motherf*cker! Called Scrappy back, talmbout ‘I was just hanging out with him’.
Whoooo! I wanna put my hand round that b*tch throat."

But then, just a few days later, it seems that 'Momma D' had a change of heart, and had this to say:

"Hello, this Mama D. Hi… as far as I know, I just found out the the indication about Diamond may not be true and I wanted to call and apologize for venting. I was just trying to protect my son and Diamond knows I love her like a daughter…"

Wow, what a difference a day makes.  I can understand the instinct of most mothers is to protect the well being of their child, first and foremost.  So she may have reacted on that instinct.  But lately, it seems like celebs mothers are getting extra 'gangsta' these days.  Waka Flocka's mom, Deb, is known to get quite involved in her son's 'affairs' as well as Lebron James' mom.  Maybe the mothers need to just chill out, reap the success of their offspring,shop and enjoy the fame?
Lil' Scrappy seemed to take the 'high road' as if the whole incident didn't really phase him.



Scrappy went on the radio to discuss his side of things:

"Y’all just gotta chill out…. at the end of the day when two people like each other, it ain’t nothing you can do about it.
I’ve been kickin it with her for a minute and we both been openly dating.
Shawty gotta get her money! Ya feel me. And however Shawty gotta get her money she gotta get it. And Shawty is Young. She gotta get it. The world can’t judge her, just like they can’t judge me.
But when he kissed her…in those pictures you saw on the web. Well… I don’t know what to say.

My take on the matter.  Although this is local NON-NEWS, I think that if Diamond wanted to 'hang' out with Soulja Boi, she probably should've not been so obvious and blatant about it.  Whether we like it or not, females are held to a different standard than men.  That's just how it is.  If a man did the same thing, it'd be accepted.  He'd be looked as as a 'player' or a 'gee'.  But females just can't have too many suitors, or engage in certain acts because they will be looked at as a 'groupie' or 'ho'. 
Although if you fall out of love and want to move on, that's fine.  Everybody has that right.  But it's not like Soulja nor Scrappy or burning up the Top 100 Billboard charts or making major noise in mainstream media, so going from Scrappy to Soulja Boi was just a lateral move.  She didn't 'up her game', so to speak, she just got some un-do attention that she probably didn't bargain on.  At the end of the day, WHO CARES!? lol
Do what works for you.  The whole ordeal seems comical, even, but hey, that's Atlanta for ya....  I'm just saying.....

The beautiful and talented actress and Sean John spokeswoman, Lauren London graces the cover of Rolling Out Magazine.



But wait a minute, this is the same Lauren London from the movie 'ATL' starring T.I., right?  Something is a bit different, don't you think?




Some things seem to have changed.  Granted, 'ATL' has been out for quite some time, but the magazine cover photo is a far cry from what I remember her looking like.  Everybody going under the knife these days, has London took that plunge too?  Hmmmm??? Well maybe its just some photoshoppe magic or tricky make-up/camera-angle hocus pocus.  Well let's hope so.  She was already a pretty girl.  No enhancements needed.  WTF?  I had to do a double take upon gazing at the magazine.  I thought it was 'Boom Kat' Laurie Anne Gibson at first.
