OOPs she did it again...Not that one, the other one. Rihanna makes HISTORY!

I bet you are wondering how on Earth could RiRi make history?  Some say her singing prowess in questionable.  Some say her performance level is moderate at best.  But you must admit, she looks good in pictures.  But anyway, She has managed to break stave off both Katy Perry and Lady GaGa to climb to that top spot on Billboard's Hot 100.








Yes, some thoought that Lady GaGa would deny Rihanna the crown and Katy Perry's 'E.T.' had been fending RiRI off for the past 3 weeks, but Rihanna along with the other pop princess, Britney Spears has done what some thought would not happen.  The Britney-assisted S&M remix managed to claw its way to the number one spot giving Rihanna her 10th #1 single!  Rihanna is now tied with Janet Jackson (yes the ICONIC baby sis to MJ) and Stevie Wonder in 7th position amongst all artists with the most chart-toppers in the history of Billboard's Hot 100.  Rihanna has a lot to celebrate, because she has inked her spot in the history books.  Not only is she tied with Janet and Stevie, but Rihanna also surpasses both of Mariah Carey’s records, being the youngest person to do this and achieving 10 number singles in the shortest amount of time than any solo act to date.


That is an amazing feat, and the young artist should be celebrated for her achievements!  Congratulations Rihanna!

Don't rest on your heels though, RiRi.  Once Mariah drops the twins and gets back in 'fighting condition', she could still be a contender at regaining some of her titles, and Janet is by far not out of the game yet either.  With her sell-out tour dates and an upcoming album in the works, the veterans could still prove to come back for theirs! But for now. Rihanna reigns supreme! Time will tell though.
