Ciara speaks out about Beyonce!

Let's go back....

Ciara busted onto the scene back in 2004 with the infectious chart-topping single 'Goodies'.  There was such promise and potential in the young starlet then.  At that time she introduced us to a new style of music that would later be termed, 'crunk & B'.  Just a year prior, another female singer had already scorched her way up the charts as a solo artist.  Beyonce released her solo debut in mid 2003. "Dangerously In Love" would go on to spawn 2 number 1 singles, 'Crazy on Love', and 'Baby Boy', and would sell 11 million worldwide.

Ciara's debut disc included 2 number 1 singles, 'Goodies', and '1-2-Step'.  'Goodies', went on to be certified 3x platinum and sold 5 million worldwide.
Beyonce has went on to be one of the biggest selling solo female artists of her time, while Ciara's climb has seemed to stall.  The media for years has tried to incite a 'feud' between the two singers.  But recently in a press conference in South Africa, Ciara spoke out about her contemporary.  See what Ciara had to say about Beyonce.





Interesting.  What else was she supposed to say.  Beyonce is on top right now, so any comments to the contrary would make the person who issues it look, well for laack of a better word, foolish.  LOL- Just saying.

Let's hope with a potential new record deal and label on the table, CiCI can regain her swagger and get back on the charts again.  Until then, let's revisit a time when CiCi had it going on1
