LUSH LIFE! The Imagery of BIG Budget Music Videos.
I was just thinking back to when the MUSIC VIDEO was the means to get to a BROADER audience. There once was a time when artists were original and produced lush, colorful, captivating visuals to accompany their work. Big-budget videos are a thing of the past unless you are a HUGE, international star. Artists and labels are going the cheaper, easier route these days, with the changing economy and record sales declining. Here are some of the lush videos I like and deserve a look! Innovative, colorful, and lush--eyecandy in a whole different way.
'What's it gonna be?'- Busta & Janet
'Falsetto'- The Dream
'Hands Up'-TLC
'Sock it to me' Missy Elliot feat Da'Brat
'Remember the Time'-Michael Jackson
This genre will rise again! Trust me.
Long live the EPIC MUSIC VIDEO....
