Ja-Rule starts 2-year bid- Talks about his sentence, music and the J-Lo rumors!



Rapper/actor Ja-Rule pleaded guilty of keeping illegal weapon in December 2010, turned himself into the city officials of New York on Wednesday to commence a 2-year jail term.


Ja Rule, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, had been arrested in July 2007 after police officials searched his Maybach as he left a concert at the Upper West Side's Beacon Theatre. Police recovered an unlicensed weapon with scratched serial number hidden in the backseat of his Maybach.

Ja Rule confessed in his latest plea that he had control and authority over the weapon. However, he said the gun actually belonged to his company.


Bossip sat down with Ja-Rule before he turned himself  to serve his 2-year bid. The rapper talks about his prison bid, his long hiatus from music and Jennifer Lopez rumors.
