Week of the Woman: 'Portraits' of Power: 'New Charlie's Angels' Sneak Peek

There is a new hot 3 some that will be hitting the screen really soon.  Not the big screen but the small screen--TV.  ABC is set to retool the 70's 'jiggle-fest' drama 'Charlie's Angels'.  The first images of the sexy trio are finally hitting the web.  Behold, Minka Kelly, Rachel Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh , the newest 'dolls' to work for the often heard, never seen 'Charlie'.  Finally, finally an 'Angel' of color.  This is long past due. John Forsythe would be happy!

The new show, which is set in present day, will feature the girls as reformed criminals who are brought together by Charlie to redeem themselves, according to 'Entertainment Weekly'.  This is a new twist from the original.

Former big-screen 'Angel' Drew Barrymore serves as executive producer for the show, which is one of the most buzzed about pilots for the upcoming 2011-12 season.

'Battle Los Angeles' star Ramon Rodriguez is set to fill the role of Bosley, and dished to E! Online about his new gig.

"I've been doing Bosley boot camp for the last two weeks," he told E! "It's fight training, gun training, hanging with the Angels, getting to know my girls, getting to know Charlie. It's been a really, really fun time in Miami."

"I get to put my imprint on a character that's been around for a long time, and I'm excited to kind of push the envelope with that. See what I can get away with," he added.

So who will fill the immaculately shined shoes of 'Charlie'?  The role that was played by the incomparable John Forsythe in the sitcom and he voiced 'Charlie' in the big-screen versions as well.

Robert Wagner will play the voice made famous by the late John Forsythe, as the show plans on keeping Charlie out of sight like the original.

The show has my attention.  On paper, it looks like its shaping up to be one of the pilot's to watch for the new season.  It's a fresh, young approach to the original series.  With Drew Barrymore on board, who was instrumental in the big-screen adaptations of 'Charlie's Angels', it is a sure bet that the new sit-com will be a break-out success.
I wonder if these new 'Angels' will carry guns like in the 70's?  We can hope right? LOL!

The new show will air on ABC this Fall on Thursday nights!
Take a sneak peek of what we can expect:
