The list of performers for BET's annual awards show is always top secret. From my experience with working the shows, sometimes up until the last minute, most besides the production crew , still don;t know the complete line-up. But as with anything, there are leaks in the system, ad some info gets out about the highly anticipated annual fete! Well this year is no different. Some of the big names that are tentatively going to hit the stage this year are Alicia Keys, Trey Songz, Kelly Rowland and once-upon a time media pariah- turned born-again media darling Chris Brown is rumored to be one of this year's performers!
If you remember, about this time last year, Brown gave a moving tribute to MJ and got so emotionally caught up, he almost could not even finish his set. This moment, arguably was the turning point in his career. After this heartfelt performance, the media once again embraced the star after a tumultuous year following the Rihanna domestic situation that had plagued his career ever since that Grammy night.
Chris is up for 6 awards so it's only fitting that he WOULD indeed perform! I feel everyone should be given the opportunity to be great. Despite people's mistakes, or missteps, most people do deserve a second chance. And with Chris Brown, we know its going to be a performance to remember. Hate him or love him, it can't be denied that Brown has STAR POWER, and that's what BET is all about 'BLACK STAR POWER'!
