Nicki Minaj gave a scaled-down, quiet, yet poignant performance of her latest single 'Moment 4 Life' on the results show of Dancing with the Stars last night. It was good to see Minaj in a softer, more demure light--no over the top hairstyle, no 'stage props', just the rising star 'singing' about her moment for life. Sometimes less is more. The dancers were a nice touch too, but seeing that this was a hip-hop song it would've been nice to see a couple of color to dance as well. Dancing is dancing, but there is a certain 'element' that dancer's of color have that pushes that whole hip-hop dance to another level. You can training the best schools, and be schooled by the greatest dancers, but 'SOUL' comes from within and that's something you just can't get from an instructor--it comes from the heart. Nonetheless, nice performance by Minaj. Congrats to her and all of the contestants that are still vying for that title!
