Former Villanova basketball player Will Sheridan announces that he is gay. In an interview with ESPN, he talks about how life was like for him as a freshman in 2003-2004, and how the team and his coaches knew of his sexuality and how he dealt with it and still performed well on the court.
Interesting and courageous story. Coming out particulary being a man of color can be a very damaging life move to make. Sheridan says he chose to do so because maybe his plight and his story can help someone else in a similar situation.
