New Music-(kinda) 'I'm into you' Jennifer Lopez feat. Lil' Wayne...For real!

WELL, well, look what we have here!  Jennifer Lopez in hopes to amp up sales of 'Love?' disc has released the alternate version of her 2nd single 'I'm into you'.  The original video featured vocals by Lil' Wayne, but he did not appear in the visual.  This was due to parole constraints that did not let Lil'Wayne travel to Mexico where the video was shot. The new video doesn't showcase any new material, it now features studio clips of Lil' Wayne interspersed in the original.  Seeing that Lil'Wayne on a track and video pretty much means certified 'HIT", it's interesting that this version was issued first.  Hmmm, some labels feel that they must have a 'pop' friendly version of a song and an 'urban' version of the same song to appeal to all demographics.  Just seems like a divisive tactic that further splits the demographics to me.  But record labels have been doing this for years.  Mariah Carey's camp is notorious for having alternate versions of the same song to appeal to different targets.  Do you agree with this type of marketing?

What are your thoughts?

From what I've been hearing, "Love?" needs as much help as possible.  Not looking to be a HUGE numbers success despite the 'Idol' push and performance.  But we shall see how this pans out.
