Odd man out? or DARK HORSE? American Idol's Jacob Lusk

With 'The Voice' on NBC killing the ratings game for the music reality show game, are people still watching 'American Idol'?  A few, it's almost the big finale of 'AI' and it's down to the final 5.  This brings me to idol contestant Jacob Lusk.  Yes, the black church guy with a 'flare' for fashion.

There is no denying that this guy has an amazing voice.  He has been praised for it, but also sometimes gets stuck in a lane that causes the judges not to get a clear understanding of who he is as an artist.  They are unsure what type of music he should be doing.  Judge Randy Jackson says he should 'do Luther [Vandross] type' music.  But Lusk wants to appeal to all people.  He sometimes 'preaches' to his audience which often lands him in the bottom 3.  But he, do date, manages to stick around.  My advice is to just do what the judges say, and once you win, or make it big, you can sing like whoever you like.  You can do whatever genre you wish to do, but America and the judges are fickle people.  One false move and you are out of the game! He already has the cards stacked against him, being the lone African-American contestant left.  My advice: Kill all them CRAZY SUITS and LIP GLOSS and just sing!
Sit on a stool and just sing.  The crazy gyrating and dancing?  That's not your lane and its just more fodder for the blogs and more reason for them to VOTE YOU OUT.

Just CHILL... you can sing.  That's all you need to do and you can win it all--or at least get a deal! I'm just saying....
